Ruby Bridges Afterschool Art and Clay Program

Students will create Visual art and Clay projects as they learn different techniques of drawing, sketching, coloring with paints, oil pastels, charcoal and work with clay.

Duration: October 1st to October 29th

5 weeks session – $157.50 tuition

Session 1 – Dates and program proposal:
October 1 – Oil Pastel Still Life
October 8 – Paper Collage Portrait
October  15 – Air Dry Clay – Hanging Bat
October 22 – Pumpkins – Study of values and symmetry
October 29 – Paint on Canvas Landscape

Venue – Ruby Bridges Elementary School

Tuition $157.50 for 5 classes includes activities such as clay sculpture making, canvas painting, sketching and all materials.

There are 19 spots available to register. We are committed that our students are being able to express their unique ideas and open up artistically using fine art skills.

Please note – There is no makeup class for missed class and no refund for any cancellation.

During this Afterschool class, the instructor demonstrates for students, step step easy to follow information to create a project of the choice.

Students learn how to draw using basic shapes.

In each class, students learn how to use different materials such as oil pastels, paper craft, paints, air dry clay and charcoal.

Students learn techniques that go with each materials such as blending, mixing, scoring, scraching and applying /controlling pressure in the hand.
