Fernwood Afterschool Art Program is based on the fine art fundamentals curriculum prepared by Creative Hands Studio in Bothell, WA.
It is a fun based exploratory class. Students learn new techniques and how to use elements of art to create anything they want along with the artistic vocabulary.
Day and Time: Wednesday 2.30 – 4pm
Dates:
1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, 2/21, 2/28, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20
10 classes $250 Tuition includes all materials and supplies.
Each class is 90 minutes long and meets as per the dates above.
Students learn age-appropriate fine art compositions with different topics and coloring medium.
Students get trained and developed in the use of Fine Arts Elements in each class with the use of specific art medium and technique to create an original artwork.
Students bring home one art project at the end of one or two classes. Please take care of their projects by filing them in a portfolio or framing them to display in your home.

Sketching with Charcoal – class 1
Sticker Making with Pen and Markers – class 2
Sketching and Image transfer on canvas – class 3 (3 class project – 1/3)
Canvas painting with acrylics – class 4 (3 class project – 2/3)
Pen work on Canvas – class 5 (3 class project – 3/3)
Clay Sculpture – class 6 (2 class project – 1/2)
Color the Clay Sculpture – class 7 (2 class project – 2/2)
Comic strip project (Pen and color pencils) – class 8
Please note – There is no makeup class for missed class.
We are committed that our students are being able to express their unique ideas and open up artistically using their fine art skills.
