Digital Art Class (8 – 14 years)

Description

Students will develop a strong foundation in visual communication by exploring both the creative and technical aspects of digital art and design. Throughout the course, students will learn how to effectively communicate ideas through images, typography, composition, color, and motion while building industry-relevant creative skills.

Topics include:

• Animation: Learn the fundamentals of 2D animation, including timing, movement, storyboarding, character design, and creating engaging animated sequences.
• Graphic Design: Explore the principles of branding, layout, typography, logo design, advertising, and digital content creation for print and online media.
• Principles of Visual Communication: Understand the core elements and principles of design, color theory, composition, hierarchy, and how visual choices influence communication and audience engagement.
• Industry-Standard Design Software: Gain hands-on experience using professional digital design software commonly used in the creative industry to create illustrations, graphics, animations, and multimedia projects while developing a portfolio of original work.

By the end of the course, students will have created a variety of creative projects that demonstrate their understanding of visual communication and prepare them for future studies or careers in graphic design, animation, digital media, marketing, and other creative industries.
