Ceramic Hand Building 90 min Class
This an Advanced class offers in depth knowledge and hands on experience on how to use different slabs and create beautiful hand build ceramic pieces. You will learn skills of joining, forming, stamping and how to use various ceramic hand building tools and convert into the shape you like All materials, tools and supplies will be given to use in the studio. You get to take home your very own handmade piece(greenware).
Ceramic Hand Building Workshop Includes:
Get your hands muddy with our 90 min pottery workshop. Workshop includes :
1) All participant gets 1 - 1.5 pounds clay for hand building
2) Quick introduction to tools and options for hand building
3) Participants follow the instructor or use help of instructor to create hand built piece
5) Clean up of all tools and supply cleaning. (15 mins)
Making Pottery involves many steps like trimming, firing in kiln to make bisque, glazing and firing again to make ceramics. After creating your master piece, you can take green ware with you or with additional charges as below you can choose to fire or glaze your piece. You will need to come back for glazing
- Bisque Firing process: $5
Glazing & Firing: $15 - Additional 1.5 lb Clay: $5
